Anyone? Anyone?

Hi. Just a quickie to let you know I’m still here and around and surviving and doing all I need to do to stay sane. I may even have my book post tonight.

Anyone have insight on temp work/agencies in my neck of the woods? Would you believe I never worked in retail or food service? Now it’s about getting some money in the house till I get my next career job.

And for the newcomers out there considering what happened last year around this time, this meltdown is not so unexpected.

A sad anniversary. My heart is with you, sister.

Sorry no advice on the job front. Have you considered consulting a recruiter?

What about office temping? I always temped when between jobs; the money’s okay and fast and sometimes you make good contacts.

I’m so sorry that things are sucking for you right now. Take care.

Sad anniversary…I still remember when I got my mushy egg diagnosis..YUCK!!

I would say try for office temping, I did a temp agency once for an electric company ended up getting a job there and stayed for 6 years, it worked out perfect.

I got some great temp gigs years ago when I was between job & grad school. Office work. I don’t have specific places to recommend anymore but I just looked in the yellow pages under temp agencies….I found the smaller places to be more accessible and less annoying (and maybe ironically? more likely to call me).

If you can muster up the energy to deal with it it is worth it…clearly you can type, you blogger you, and so many of the gigs involve being paid to do like three things a day, and then read novels and websurf….
